Utah Skiing
Utah offers world class skiing at a variety of posh resorts. Most of the skiing areas in Utah are concentrated near Salt Lake City, in the northern corner of the state in the Wasatch Mountains. All of the skiing in Utah is located in the Rocky Mountain range. There are over thirteen ski resorts, most of which offer modest, intermediate level ski slopes, with a few resorts offering expert runs. The ski season in Utah lasts from December through April. The average snowfall per year at the ski resorts ranges from 300 to 500 inches.

Dear Valley is the largest ski resort in Utah, located just 30 miles east of Salt Lake City. Thee resort has 98 runs spread out over four mountains: Bald Eagle Mountain, Bald Mountain, Flagstaff Mountain and Empire Canyon. The terrain offers challenges for skiers at every skill level: 15% beginner, 50% intermediate, 25% advanced and 10% expert; snow boarding is not allowed. The dear Valley resort is best known for its outstanding services, spanning from excellent customer service, gourmet food, well groomed mountains and luxury accommodations. Lodging is available on the mountains and in the valley within the resort. There are also hotels and condos available in nearby Park City. Snowbird ski resort is one of the top ski resorts in the US. It is located about 30 miles east of Salt Lake City. The resort has 89 runs, featuring the longest vertical rise in Utah. The terrain can accommodate most skill levels: 27% beginner, 38% intermediate and 35% advanced. The resort has a whopping annual snowfall of 500 inches per year and the longest ski season in Utah, ranging from mid November through mid-May. Snowboarding is allowed, with a terrain park and superpipe. Lodging is available up the mountain or down along the base.

Park city is a ski town located 30 miles east of Salt Lake city where many skiers choose to stay. Resorts often work with local real estate agencies to offer the best range of lodging options for skiers. Park city offers Hotels, condos, cabins and townhouses for any budget, though the area features luxury accommodations. There are real estate companies that specialize in providing skiers with accommodations at all of the eight ski locations to the east of Salt Lake City. Accommodations can be reserved through the resort, real estate agency, or directly from the property owners.
