Planning a vacation at Ski Apache takes just a few simple steps. First, log onto www.skiapache.com. From here you can check driving directions or check the shuttle schedule by mousing-over "Trip Planning" and then "Transportation." Ski Apache's website also allows you to book lodging online by clicking the "Lodging" link in the lower right corner. Here you are presented with a variety of properties to choose from with varying budgets in mind. Simply clicking a link will give you more information on that location and booking a stay there. Rates and dates are also only a click away. After booking a room or cabin, be sure to check out things to do in the nearby area of Ruidoso. This can be located by selecting "Ruidoso Area Information" from the menu on the left and then clicking "Things to Do." The area is famous not only for it’s skiing but also as the home of the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino and many art galleries and studios. There is a separate link to the Inn of the Mountain Gods on the main page for those interested in more information on the casino and resort.

Ski Apache Trail Map

You can access a trail map, information on the Terrain Park, Ski Patrol, Snowmaking, and Safety all from the "Mountain Facts" menu on the left side. The "Trail Map" provides a detailed view of Ski Apache's 55 runs, which include the Apache bowl, the Boneyard Terrain Park, and much more. The Apache Ski Patrol has eight full-time and four part-time salaried members and eighty volunteer National Ski patrol Personal standing by to make sure you enjoy the trails safely. Many of the Ski patrol's members are nurses, paramedics and doctors and also participate in first aid refresher training each year. To check out lessons, select "Trip Planning" and then click "Preparing with Lessons."

Ski Apache Weather

Clicking the section on snowmaking gives information on the great lengths Ski Apache goes to to ensure snow. Not only do they have one of the most sophisticated snowmaking operations in the United States but you can also access current weather information by selecting "Current Conditions" and then "Weather Conditions" or check road conditions by clicking "Road Conditions." Choosing "Snow Report" gives you an in depth look at the forecast, snow and ski conditions, and currently open trails and lifts. The Snow Report even lists how much new snow has fallen in the past 24 hours and which trails have been groomed recently.
