Most likely they will, but the discounts they will offer will probably be the ones that they cannot sell at regular price. This may mean that you are going to be staying at a resort off the beaten path or that you are going to be going to the resort in August, on a Tuesday and leaving on a Friday at 7:00 am in the morning. But, if this doesn’t bother you, then you might be able to get some really great deals. But, if you are worried that you may be getting into a less than par resort, then do your research.

Go onto the resort’s website and read reviews of people who have stayed there in the past. In previous experiences the reviews that are left on the websites are very accurate. You may read the reviews and think you can deal with the complaints, but once you get there and they never change your towels or you can not get bottled water into your room for anything, don’t say you weren’t warned. You may just be too excited to really evaluate the complaints about the resort and take them into consideration. Really think about what the previous guests have to say and put yourself in their shoes. Decide if it really is something that you don’t mind dealing with because, hey, you are getting this ski vacation for $500 less than what you expected. Another option is to go to last minute websites to see if you can get out within the next month or so. These are usually cases when the airlines or resorts have extra room and they want to be able to sell it no matter what the cost is. This is certainly a way to save a lot of money, but you have to be able to pick up and go with little notice.
